I saw Dr. Walker at the VA Medical Center, There can be no doubt of his qualifications or expertise. On an initial visit I would expect some assessment of the condition for which I saw him. No such assessment was performed. For some reason he asked if I was aware that neurologists were also psychiatrists. Since my beloved "Uncle Ned", Edward A. Strecker, M.D. was both I was aware that many, though not all, neurologists are psychiatrists. I don't know why he asked the question. I found him to be distant, somewhat arch, and decidedly unpleasant. By the way I helped open the Storm Eye Institute and was Dr. Vallotton's first O.R. supervisor. I plan to seek neurological care outside the VA/MUSC system..
